New 3D Animation Helps Client Win Best Residential Award at Cityscape

Despite the recession, technology and 3D art continue to advance at a rapid pace, so today I want to share what I believe is the new standard for Master Plan Community animated videos, or short films as we like to refer to them.
The subject matter for this video is a new MPC just outside Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which last month won “Best Residential – Future Award” at Cityscape. The storyboard, script, soundtrack, computer graphics and post production were produced entirely by the creative team at Focus 360.
An interesting fact is that about 98% of the video is computer generated imagery. Can you tell what 2% isn’t? Enjoy!

This is an incredible piece of animation! Smooth camera moves and beautiful lighting are always to be expected of Focus 360 but this goes above and beyond. Congratulations on another award!

I am very impressed with the graphic transitions. They are very creative and intelligent. The also visually explain how the “lay of the land” works from the perspective of a person walking along a park sidewalk to above as a site map perfectly.
