Work Culture: What Sets Focus 360 Apart from the Rest

If you saw our latest blog post, you would know that we are incredibly proud to have been voted one of the Orange County Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in Orange County for the fourth year in a row. And what better way to celebrate that achievement than at a company picnic! Last month our whole team came together from across the country to celebrate in Doheny Beach with their families. There was food, games, raffles, and—perhaps the best of all—an intense Cornhole competition, complete with medals and prizes.
It is events like this that help contribute to an award-winning company culture. Monica is a Project Coordinator who has been with us for nine months now and she says the reason she loves working at Focus 360 is that everyone here is accepting of others. She especially appreciates that all different backgrounds are welcomed and appreciated. She loves everyone on staff and she feels comfortable being herself. Not to mention, the culture that Focus 360 has cultivated allows her to optimize her workday. There is no one micromanaging her work which permits her more creative freedom and massively reduces work-related stress. When asked what she thinks makes Focus 360 so successful, she said “There is a focus on the people and the clients.” Monica says she has seen for herself how Focus 360’s personalization of each product to be exactly what the client wants to achieve is what makes the Focus 360 experience so unique. This focus on the clients when paired with Focus 360’s dedication to a comfortable workplace climate is what Monica ultimately attributes to the company’s success both with clients and with long-term employee retention.
Brock, who in addition to organizing and executing the highly complex and competitive cornhole bracket for the picnic, is one of our Sales Coordinators and just celebrated his year and a half anniversary with the team. Brock agrees with Monica that the people are truly what makes Focus 360 both an enjoyable place to work as well as a key factor to the success of the company overall. He too enjoys being able to collaborate with his coworkers and build meaningful relationships with them as it fosters a healthy work environment that is enjoyable to work in. Additionally, he says that finding creative solutions for clients is not just a key part of his job, it’s what makes Focus 360 so unique; in that, every solution is custom-tailored to fit the client’s exact needs. Furthermore, throughout the entire process from start to finish, Brock stays in contact with the clients, fostering tight-knit relationships while ensuring the final deliverables are precisely what the clients had envisioned, if not better. Tight-knit relationships, Brock says, are what he believes to be a key factor to the success of Focus 360. Solid lines of communication and the appreciation of every employee are what Brock says makes Focus 360 truly a special place to work.
Dave is the Art Director, and he has been with the company for over eight years. He started as an entry-level 3D Modeler with the intention of gaining enough experience to launch into a career in a Hollywood studio. However, he says, “One year in, I knew this was the team I wanted to stay with.” He accredits the prioritization of a work-life balance as well as the driven, but casual atmosphere that he says perfectly blends the “corporate benefits with a personable culture” as to how he knew Focus 360 was the company he wanted to stick with. He says that the culture created at Focus 360 is what makes coming to work every day worth it. The value placed on every team member, the acknowledgment that “the best idea can come from ANYONE on the team,” the lack of office politics, and the “insatiable thirst for making our products better, faster, stronger is always pulsing through every dept and the company as a whole.” It’s what truly sets Focus 360 apart from the rest of the industry. He says that the reason Focus 360 has been so successful over the years is that everyone is working towards the same goal, and everyone is contributing in some fashion to make sure these goals are achieved. And, having had the opportunity to watch the ways Focus 360 has grown over the past eight years, Dave says that forward thinking is the underlying factor that makes Focus 360 a company that can adapt to economic changes while consistently delivering products to clients that meet or exceed their expectations. He says that the 30+ years Focus 360 has in the business has resulted in a “wealth of experience that has contributed to in-depth planning for growth, AND economic safeguards to withstand inevitable market changes.”
